Type Locality and Naming

Along the ridge of outcrops, located south of the Tashkent-Termiz highway, S.W. Gissar. Kh.Kh.Mirkamalov, M.E.Egamberdyev, 1969 (300, p.64). Synonym: Chashmaobzan Suite, Чашмобазинская св., Talhab Fm (446).


Lithology and Thickness

Upper part - clays with layers of siltstone (aleurolites).

Lower part - greenish-gray clays with light marls and calcareous siltstone (aleurolites), at the base of the suite

Total thickness 100-200m.

Lower contact

Conformably overlies the Gazdagan Fm

It is also overlain by the Dekhkanabad Fm
